Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Shameless self promoting, I know! How can I let my Birthday go by with no mention about it on my blog. That just wouldn't be right. However, birthday's are no longer the hoopla they were when I was young but I will still celebrate with family and lots of cake.
We are not "celebrating" today but celebrating next weekend with family. It will be fun, the hubs and I will celebrate our birthday together. Below is a picture of us ..it is an older picture but it is the only picture I have here of us.
I did get my present already! Yup, he couldn't wait to give it to me so he gave it to me this weekend.

Woohoo! This lens is a telephoto lens which I was desperate for. It will take some getting used to since there is no image stabilization but I can't wait to get out there and take some pictures. The camera that I currently have is the Canon Rebel XS, with the kit lens and 50mm 1.8.

YUMMMMMMMMMMMmo! That cake looks so good! I am glad you shouted it out! I am so jealous that you had a 50 mm kit lens. How fantastic is that? I just tried a 50 mm lens a few weeks ago and fell in love! Have fun with your new lens!
