Some of my favorites ~ repost for You Capture!

Here are some of my favorite photos for 2010...this was hard.  So hard.  How to pick a favorite?  I have a lot of favorites...mostly of Jack, some flowers, some landscapes, some Christmas...so hard.  I started this blog back in March of this year.  I didn't really get into photography until around June of this year.  Looking back at my photos throughout the year...I see such improvement.  I still have so much more to learn.  I am hoping to continue this journey throughout next year.  I want to learn more about lighting, editing, metering, more techniques, macro photography...so much to learn.  I am constantly thirsting for more...can anyone else relate?

Fun in the Snow

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!  We had such a wonderful couple of days.  Jack had so much fun.  He loves Santa, loves presents, loves Baby Jesus, and was such a good boy all weekend.  The holidays really are such a magical time.  I took a nice little break from blogging and photography also.  I did take pictures at Christmas but they are mostly family snapshots and pictures of Jack.  Sometimes, it is good to put the camera down and take a break.

Sunday night and onto yesterday it finally SNOWED! Woohoo!  Jack was beyond excited and wanted to go out right away.  It was freezing and really windy outside but we braved it.  He had a blast, jumping, rolling, shoveling and building our snow head.  Yes, I say snow head because it was only one ball of snow!  This was not good snowman making snow but we still had fun.

Have yourself a Merry little Christmas....

Shimmering holiday magic...

Happy Holidays everyone!  Our household is busy with preparations and filled with excitement and joy.  It looks like it be a White Christmas.  We had a little dusting here and hopefully it will stay...just enough to cover the ground and make it look pretty.

I have been so busy the past week that I neglected my camera until yesterday.  I went home during lunch, set up my backdrop, and had so much fun snapping away.

Photography love...
